Diva-Dirt.com has posted an exclusive interview with former WWE Diva and the first ever Queen of FCW, Savannah. Editor in Cheif, Melanie, talks to Angela about her training down in Florida Championship Wrestling, working as a ring announcer on ECW and NXT, whether there were plans to integrate her into the Divas division, her eventual release and more on her time in WWE. Plus, Angela also spills about declining a TNA tryout, as well as her current projects including the XFC Cage Dolls and her recent trip visiting the troops in Kosovo. click here to listen to interview.

Fong is a former cheerleader for the CFL’s British Columbia Lions and actress. Angela tried out for the 2007 Diva Search, but she didn’t become one of the finalists. However, Angela got signed to a developmental deal and was sent to WWE’s developmental territory FCW. Fong debuted on FCW in early 2008 as Miss Angela. She initially started as a valet for The Puerto Rican Nightmares, Eddie Colon and Eric Perez. They feuded with Nic Nemeth, Brad Allen and Taryn Terrell. When The Puerto Rican Nightmares broke up and Angela started to wrestle more. In 2009 FCW revealed a Divas crown, Angela defeated Alicia Fox in the finals to become the first ever Queen of FCW. Fong and Rosa Mendes established a feud when Mendes tried to steal the crown from Angela. After defending the crown for seven months Angela was defeated by Mia Mancini. On September 15, 2009 Fong debuted as Savannah on ECW doing the backstage reporter duties. Fong spent most of her time as the ECW backstage interviewer, until ECW ring announcer Lauren Mayhew departed from the WWE, with Fong becoming the ring announcer of ECW. After the ECW brand was closed down on February 16, 2010 and was replaced with NXT, she joined the WWE NXT broadcast team as the official ring announcer for the first season of WWE NXT. During her time on ECW and NXT, Fong still participated in FCW shows, she competed for the new FCW Divas Championship. On June 23, 2010, Fong was released from her WWE contract. Fong began wrestling in the independent circuit, under her real name and competed in her Post-WWE match in the organization, Ground Breaking Pro Wrestling on September 26, 2010, when she defeated Randi West to win the vacant GBPW Ladies Championship and became its first champion.
